14th Annual AGBC Exchange Hosted at NEC

As an active partner of the American German Business Club – the largest English speaking business club in Munich, New European College was excited to host the annual AGBC exchange for the fourth year in a row on Saturday, 18 May 2019.

During the exchange, we welcomed members of the English speaking and German speaking business communities in Munich and its surroundings. Guests arrived on campus in the morning, which began with traditional Bavarian snacks and the opportunity to catch up with new and old acquaintances. The event officially commenced with a welcome speech by Larry Schulz – President of the AGBC, followed with words by New European College Chancellor Sascha Liebhardt.

The day continued on with a full schedule of workshops, where speakers presented on topics ranging from business and technology to personal growth and passions such as whiskey and creativity. Throughout the workshops, speakers shared their knowledge with AGBC members, guests and NEC students and faculty. And at the end of the event, attendees enjoyed a Mexican lunch and – of course – more opportunities to network and build new relationships.

This event was extremely valuable for NEC students in order to begin creating their professional network before graduating and adventuring into the business world. The ideas presented during the workshops expanded and reinforced concepts presented during lectures. With the experience and knowledge of the workshop leaders, our students were able to create solid links between the concepts learned in class and the application of these concepts in workplace and life scenarios.
