First celebrated in 1310, the Jakobidult is back again in Mariahilfplatz. For nine days, this festival will be decorating the streets of the Au district with its markets full of antiques, crockery and even natural healing remedies. In addition to the variety of items, you can find in the stands, the festival also offers fairground rides similar to the ones found in the Oktoberfest.
Every year on the first Tuesday of August, Munich city centre is covered with flowers of all sizes and colours. On this day, attendees are able to enjoy an open-air concert before the flower parade—in which all the beautiful flower arrangements are attached to tractors or carried by the gardeners in order to be displayed to the public.
Concerts, fireworks, flea markets and Wakeboarding are just some of the things you can find at the Summer Festival in Olympiapark. Until 18 August, you can enjoy over 100 rides, snacks from various parts of the world and even the authentic feeling of an Italian beach bar. The best part is the entry is free!
