Beyond the Beer: NEC Students Rethink the Business of Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is known around the world for beer, tradition and celebration. During Project Week at New European College, students looked beyond the festivities and examined the event as one of Munich’s largest and most complex business ecosystems.
Students were challenged to analyse Oktoberfest from the perspective of producers, suppliers, operators and the City of Munich rather than simply from the perspective of visitors.
For business students, few classrooms are as interesting as the city around them. At NEC, Project Weeks give students the opportunity to take concepts discussed in class and apply them to real organisations, industries and challenges in Munich.
