New European College is pleased to announce that we are now accepting the IELTS Indicator and TOEFL iBT tests for admission into our Pathway, Bachelor, Master and MBA Programs
Ready to submit your application to New European College but concerned about how to take your English test during this time? IELTS & TOEFL now offer solutions for students who are in the process of applying to university and need to submit proof of their English skills! Students who are unable to travel to take their test at a test center due to public health concerns can now take their English test online and at home. Below you will find detailed instructions for how to register and complete either the TOEFL iBT or IELTS Indicator test.
According to ieltsindicator.com, IELTS Indicator is an online test that can be taken from the comfort and safety of your home. The test includes four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, and you will receive an indicative score for each. Your performance will be marked by IELTS examiners and you will receive your result within seven days. The Academic test is available for a limited time while IELTS testing is currently suspended due to COVID-19 (ieltsindicator.com).
IELTS Indicator is a timed test that matches the structure of an in-person test. It’s a live, online test with an allocated start time and duration – to take it, you need a suitable computer with reliable internet access. The Speaking test is delivered via video call with a fully qualified and trained examiner. The Listening, Reading and Writing parts of the test need to be completed in one sitting, with the Speaking test happening a few days before or after the other sections.
Test takers will need a laptop or desktop computer (with microphone and camera for the Speaking test), a stable internet connection and speakers or headphones. An ID document is required for registration for the Speaking test. Students can register online at ieltsindicator.com.
According to ETS.org, to meet the needs of students who are unable to take the TOEFL iBT® test at a test center due to public health concerns, ETS is temporarily offering the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition test. The test is identical in content, format and on-screen experience to the TOEFL iBT test taken at a test center. It is taken on your own computer at home and is monitored by a human proctor online through ProctorU®. At home administrations are currently available around the clock every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday through June 30, 2020 (ETS.org).
Your computer must meet the equipment requirements for the test, including the installation of the ETS Test Browser and the ProctorU Systems Check. The test is identical in content, format and on-screen experience to the TOEFL iBT test taken at a test center. During the test, a human proctor will monitor you (via video camera) and your computer screen to ensure you follow all testing procedures. Furthermore, your entire test session will be recorded and your photo will be taken. Your photo from the test session will be shared with institutions as part of your TOEFL iBT score report.
Please register to see a complete schedule of dates and times available for taking the test. You will receive your scores in your ETS account 6–10 days after your test and your scores will be sent to us once you select our institution during registration. A full step-by-step guide to registering can be found on the TOEFL iBT website.
The TOEFL code for Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences is 4889.
