Join us for a visit to the Bavarian State Library (Bayerische Staatsbibliothek)! This library tour is specifically aimed at graduating students who are in the process of writing their final thesis. The tour will be performed in English by a highly qualified librarian who will show students how to use the library and its numerous resources. These include: books, magazines and databases that provide free access to academic articles.
Students will also have the opportunity to sign up for a library card giving them permission to borrow books. To sign up for the library card, remember to bring the following items with: Passport, Visa that indicates your current address, Student ID/Verification of student status.

This is your chance to hear from and meet the new US Consul General for Munich, Meghan Gregonis, who will join us for our June monthly meeting. Meghan will address current and evolving US economic and diplomatic situations. She will share the government views on the transatlantic trade and investment relationship and explain the Ambassador’s top priorities – among others defense spending and investment, re-balancing trade, and energy security. Furthermore, she will present her vision on how to continuously expand and improve the Bavarian-American relations during her assignment and reflect the impressions from her first year in Bavaria.
Meghan Gregonis is the United States Consul General in Munich since July 2018. Before her assignment to Germany, she was Deputy Director for Public Diplomacy in the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs where she oversaw and broadened Public Diplomacy engagement in Western Europe. In this capacity, she also coordinated U.S. efforts to counter disinformation.
You are invited to join us for a guided tour of the 350-year old National Theater (Bayerische Staatsoper), located in the heart of Munich. The tour will give you the opportunity to discover the opera from a new perspective, provide useful information about the various processes in the house and give an overview of the operations that must be in place leading up to production.
