Celebrating the Start of Winter Semester 2019

New European College’s semester welcome drink is a time for students, lectures and alumni to connect and celebrate. This year was no exception with us welcoming more students than ever before from a growing number of countries around the world, on top of commencing a new academic partnership with Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. Therefore, we were honored to have Dutch Consul General Paul Ymkers join us for this special event.

Guests gathered in a speak-easy style locale – Moejo91 – situated under the bustling streets of Munich’s hip university district to enjoy stimulating conversation and good company. More than 90 guests joined us for an evening of ‘James Bond versus the Bavaria King’ in Moejo91’s British-Bavarian themed venue. As students, faculty and alumni continued to fill the rooms of Moejo91, one thing was clear: all guests were thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to connect outside of the classroom and celebrate the start of an exciting semester at New European College.

“Part of offering a genuine business education is giving students multiple opportunities to step outside the classroom,” commented NEC Chancellor Sascha Liebhardt. “The Semester Welcome Drink is certainly an important part of this! It pleases me to see our students simply being themselves and connecting with their fellow classmates, lecturers and NEC alumni. These are the memories and relationships that students will take with them, along with the knowledge they will gain throughout their studies at New European College.”
